The Elviras Children Home Nepal Foundation was established on 27-03-2009 (KvK nr. 17247167) with the aim of raising funds and resources to support the Non Government Organization Elviras Children Home Dallu Awas, Kathmandu in Nepal, and to support the children in Nepal, and to perform all other actions that are related to the above or may be conducive to it.
The board consists of 3 members; Harry Brands, chairman, Riet Kroot, treasurer, Wil Jacobs, secretary. They do not receive any remuneration and/or expense allowances for their work; all funds that are obtained are used in the interest of underprivileged, orphaned and needy children in Nepal.
This covid pandemic outbreak has a great effect globally and also affects us a lot to the activities of the children’s home. During that period we did our best to keep all our children and staff safe. In the meantime, most of the children who lived there at the time have gone to live independently, some have been reunited with their families after secondary school. A number have graduated and have found a good job in the meantime, but a few are still busy completing their studies. Some of them are even still doing a master’s degree for a number of years. We are continuing our support and guide them for as long as necessary until they can stand on their own. We are contributing to the costs of their studies and training. Currently our shelter project is in the process of being phased out. And from now onwards we are direct sponsorship of children and school fee projects.
The foundation’s annual accounts are drawn up after each financial year and published here.
