The covid pandemic outbreak had a great effect globally and also affected us on a lot to the activities of the children’s home. During that period we did our best to keep all our children and staff safe. In the meantime, most of the children who lived there at the time have gone to live independently, some have been reunited with their families after secondary school. A number have graduated and have found a good job in the meantime, but a few are still busy completing their studies. Some of them are even still doing a master’s degree for a number of years. We are continuing our support and guide them for as long as necessary until they can stand on their own. We are contributing to the costs of their studies and training. Currently our shelter project is in the process of being phased out. And from now onwards we are direct sponsorship of children and school fee projects.
In December 2024, our chairman visited Nepal and had a reunion with some of the old inhabitants of the home. He also visited those who are still sponsored by the foundation. We took Mingmar Sherpa in our guidance and found a sponsor for him to cover the costs of his study. Beside that there was a small board meeting with some members of the Nepalese staff to make future plans and new goals for the benefit of children and to help out where needed.
The foundation’s annual accounts are drawn up after each financial year and published here.

The board in the Netherlands is mainly concerned with maintaining contacts with sponsors and donors. Contacts with Nepal are regularly with the children concerned and the representative of the NGO who maintain
contacts with them on site.
For December 2025 a short visited is planned to get more updates about the welfare of the remaining students.
